I’m a Christian, husband, dog-lover, UNC Tarheel follower, supporter of Israel, pastoral intern and recent seminary graduate.  I believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God, and I believe that absolute truth is found within it.  I believe that there is only one way to God, and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ.  I believe the only thing that can take away or atone for sin is the precious blood of Jesus, the Savior of the world.  I believe in the rapture:  when the living saints of God are “caught up together” with the “dead in Christ” to meet Jesus “in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, NIV).  I believe in divine healing based on Isaiah 53:4-5, James 5:15, 1 Peter 2:24, Psalm 103:3, Exodus 15:16, Jeremiah 30:17, Romans 8:11 and other passages of Scripture.

  17. Hey Scott, This was a very interesting blog that you wrote. I will be following your blog from now on.

    • Rick, are you the Rick Gibson from Eden, NC? If so, it is really good to hear from you. It certainly has been a long time. I hope things are going well for you. We were up in NC for Christmas to see my wife’s family in the Fayetteville area. God bless you and your family.

  18. Yes it is I. I was really excited when I found your blog. I recently found a cassette tape and listened to it. It was the whole bunch of us playing different instruments and your brother singing/rapping nursery rhymes. Do you remember that? This tape made me go looking for you guys.

    • Yes, I remember when we did that. That would be funny to listen to again. I see that you have two children. What are their names? Are you still in the medical field? I am heading off to the church for evangelism. I will reply when I get back. See you later.

  19. I hope to have the the tape downloaded on a cd and then I have send it out to you and others. My daughter is Anna (18). She graduated from High School this past May. She will be going to RCC for 2 years. My son is Hunter (17). He will be a senior this year. I work fir Hospice now. My wife works in the inpatient Hospice unit and I go to the patient’s homes.

  22. Hello Scott. Thanks for your post “The Coming Storm” I am so glad to hear fresh on-the-ground information coming from Israel – it always causes my heart to pound. Couldnt find anywhere to comment on it except here. I dont know when the prophesied event I received will be happening in Israel (maybe soon or a long way off) but I thought you may want to read it at http://endtimesprophecies.org/ It is titled: ISRAELI ARMY – LANDSLIDE VICTORY CORRECTING ISRAEL’S BORDERLINES. God’s Blessings in abundance to you! Susie Whitney

  23. Hi Scott I want to connect to your ministry

  24. Hello, I’ve enjoyed some of your posts and have nominated you for the “Very Inspiring Blogger Award.” Not sure how “official” it is, but it will surely be a little fun. For more information about it and the awards requirements see my blog where I was nominated: http://daryldensford.com/2012/12/08/very-inspiring-blogger-award/

    • Thank you, and God bless you, Daryl.

    • Hi Daryl, Nice to meet you! I just found your message as I rarely have time to read my email anymore. I havent checked my email since early December! Thankyou for loving God’s Words that He has shared with me which are powerfully inspiring, as is everything He does. I often click on “Like” myself after re-reading these Prophetic Words as they never cease to bless me. I am so grateful that the Lord loves to allow us to participate with Him, & to be a part of His wonderful family! THANKYOU so much for appreciating what God is sharing through me… it is VERY VERY encouraging, & I pray many more will be blessed also! It is so exciting to walk with Him in these days even though they are constantly extremely intense, challenging & testing. God Bless you Daryl! Susie Whitney

      • Hi Scott, I thought I would give you permission to have a good laugh….. both with me & at me, if you haven’t already! I was just going through your blog site & saw the above messages & replies! Few a few moments I was confused & embarrassed but then I totally cracked up laughing!!!!
So this is the story:- I was hurriedly checking my emails a while back & found the above message from Daryl Densford in my email. Email sent to me have always been a msg to me in the past & I didnt see or expect anything to say it was sent to anyone else, & also other people’s messages to other people on the few blogs I follow have never been emailed to me before, & Daryl’s comment did not mention anyone’s name, so it appeared to be an email to me. So you can imagine my surprise when I was just going through your blog here to find that Daryl’s msg was to you!… and that for all to see I thought it was a msg to me. I immediately checked my email & the msg& sure enough when I looked really closely around the msg there was one line that said it was a comment to your blog!!
Enough said on the ‘what happened?’ issue, & back to the real issue…… its REALLY FUNNY & actually a really good feeling to be able to laugh at myself and to not be afraid of any lack in myself. I thank Jesus that He enables me to get some stuff right as well! LOL
PS. I have been praying for you!

        Susie Whitney ( http://propheticteaching333.com/ )

      • Hi Susie. I thought something like that probably happened. It is pretty funny, though. Thanks for your prayers. Bless you.

  25. Hi Scott,

Greetings from a fellow blogger and brother in Christ who lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Oregon to be more specific.

Just a quick note of encouraging feedback regarding your blog. Over the brief amount of time that I have been reading your postings, I have noticed a steady increase in the quality of both your content and of your writing style.

I think you are receiving some help from the same “Helper” that The Father had sent to help a certain number of writers who collaborated in writing what eventually became the greatest selling Book of all time.

While you and I will never have our writings canonized (obviously!), we nonetheless hope and pray that the Holy Spirit will anoint our hearts, minds, hands, and our keyboards so we may be fruitful for God’d glory.

To summarize: You are being led and used in your writing in an increasing manner, touching a certain segment of society with the truth and the Good News of Christ and His Kingdom.

Praying for you as you grow in your hobby that is also ministerial in effect. Wouldn’t it be incredible if we could go from hobby-writers to career-writers in the ministry?

See you around the WordPress Village,
    ~ Dave

    • Hi Dave,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I really wasn’t much of a writer in high school or college, but that changed when I went to Asbury Theological Seminary. Those three years caused me to enjoy writing.

Thanks, also, for your prayers. I like to think that I am being a blessing through this blog. I will be praying for you as well.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s time together. And may the Lord continue to use you for His honor and glory.

      God bless you,

      Scott
