Baptism Anniversary

December 17, 2013

Eleven years ago tonight, Tuesday, December 17, 2002, I was filled with God’s Spirit. The night that I was saved is the only one that could rise above the importance of this particular night in Groveland, Florida, eleven days before my 40th birthday.
My wife and I had just bought a new home in the Crane’s Landing subdivision of this South Lake County community six months prior. I had come home from work and was having my devotional time when I felt my mouth quivering.
I had sought after this blessing for many years, and, finally, I was baptized by Jesus Christ into His Spirit. I began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave me utterance. I can remember the joy and the smile on my face as I was receiving this blessing and enduement of power from God. It was a night that would change my life forever.

  1. Hallelujah!! Blessings to you and Merry Christmas!

  2. So true. God is good and is so willing to give us of Himself. I don’t know where I would be today had I never received the baptism of the Holy Spirit back in 1970. That was a long time ago, and it only gets better. God bless. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Congratulations, and Merry Christmas Scott. It’s been a while longer for me, but I celebrate it every year. Praise The Lord for blessing us with the greatest gift, the gift of Himself.
