Looking Presidential

October 23, 2012

Last night, Mitt Romney was knowledgeable, sharp and respectful to his opponent and to the moderator. In essence, he looked Presidential while his counterpart looked “small.” Some have remarked that “it seemed Mr. Obama was the challenger and Gov. Romney was the incumbent.” After watching the debate, I have to agree.

Four years ago, it appeared our current leader could do anything. He was “Superman.” Some, even bordering on blasphemy, called him the “Messiah.” This past term, however, has been anything but pleasant for the American people, and they are sensing that this man’s “time is up.”

I know if we elect a new President he is still only a man. But I believe that this man shares the values of the majority of Americans, and I believe he will bring back some of what we have lost since 2008 (prosperity, respect in the world, justice, etc). Maybe two weeks from today there will, truly, be a reason to rejoice.

  1. Scott, I wanted to add that someone from Obamas side placed afull page Ad in our newspaper last month, the Royal Gazette, offering to pay one million dollars for any dirt on Romney regarding hiding funds in one of our banks here in Bermuda. Most Bermudians were appalled at the gall and unethical ad!
