Evangelism Class

Tomorrow begins the first Sunday of classes at Faith Assembly of God, Orlando for School of the Bible. Last Sunday, we had our first two services in the new facility on Curry Ford Road, but we did not have any Sunday School teaching. In the morning, however, we will begin a new slate of Bible-education.
I will be teaching “Personal Evangelism.” I am looking forward to helping train our body of believers in soul-winning to be able to reach the lost who are “white unto harvest.” And I am hoping that many of these students will join our weekly evangelism team.
We have had many souls saved in the last few weeks and months through this evangelistic arm of the church, and for that, I say, “to God be the glory!” The following material is the syllabus for the class:

I. Course Description
A basic study of the principles of evangelism. The course emphasizes that all believers should take “personal ownership” of the Great Commission. This study will concentrate on two methods of evangelism: “On Purpose Soul-Winning” and “The Survey Method.” This will be a sixteen week course.
I. Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
A. Effectively witness to friends, co-workers, neighbors, classmates, relatives, etc.
B. Gain the knowledge, ability and confidence to share their faith in a door-to-
door setting.
C. Evangelize using the “OPSW Method.”
D. Evangelize using the “Survey Method.”
E. Use their testimony in evangelism.
F. Overcome objections when witnessing.
