Support Chick-Fil-A

July 29, 2012

Although we supposedly live in a country that has free-speech as one of its hallmarks, it is becoming apparent that we are losing this right. The latest victim of the mainstream media, leftists and the so-called “tolerant,” regarding free-speech, is “Chick-Fil-A.” They have made this company “out to be a villain” for simply standing true to its pro-family principles.
Well if one believes in family values, like those espoused by this company, one will be able to do something to voice those values and support, monetarily, this all-American and God-fearing business. It is still possible to speak out loud on political and social issues in this country (at least for now).
On August 1, 2012, former Governor, Mike Huckabee, is calling for a national “Chick-Fil-A appreciation day.” We, as a nation, can put the proverbial “money where our mouth is,” literally. I would hope that all of you who follow or read this blog will support Chick-Fil-A this coming Wednesday. Let’s send a message to the intolerant that we will not be bullied by their slimy tactics. My prayer is that this company will have its biggest sales day ever on that day.

We will be there Wednesday in full support. We have been trying to not eat out as much, but this a very worthy cause that deserves our support. Great post!!

  3. Thanks for your stance on this!

    • Hi Dan. Unfortunately, Chick-Fil-A has been slandered similar to the Boy Scouts of America: for standing up for the truth and for what they believe in. I thank God for organizations like these- unwilling to compromise.

I would love to be able to eat at Chick-Fil-A simply to show the haters in this nation free speech is a right and not punishable by a bunch of godless Quacks. I believe people have a right to their way of life but when they seek to punish for exercising our rights…They have crossed the line.

I have never had Chick-fil-A food, even though I heard that it is very good. I did know that Dan Cathy was a Christian, and Aug. 1st I will show my support of Biblical principles and the author of those principles Jesus Christ. Good post.

It is our intention to join in the Support Day tomorrow (Aug 1). In fact, my husband person went there yesterday as a “warm up” to the main event — haha.

You have a great blog here, Scott. Will be following from now on.

  11. United we stand, divided we fall…God Bless you Scott!

  12. I couldn’t agree with you any more Scott. From what I understand that day was a record selling day and I am glad for that.

  13. I went here in West Des Moines, Iowa, and the food court was mobbed. Never seen so many people happy to wait in line! They paper estimates 3500 came through the line. I think it may have been quite a bit more than that.

    • I went to the Ocoee, Florida location around 5:30 in the afternoon, and they were “swamped.” The line to get inside was “out the door,” and the drive-thru extended around the building and down the street.

  14. Hi Scott,

You may be interested to know that the ACLU supports Chick-Fil-A in their right to speak though they disagree. I found this out when reading about some politicians wanting to ban the restaurant.

The ACLU apparently didn’t like the idea of government intervention in this case. They are correct in it’s a slippery slope that can go both way. Talk about strange bedfellow.

My take on the issue is one of how to talk with gay couples. Have a blessed day!

I believe the support was so great for Chick-Fil-A because our values were attacked and Chick-Fil-A was just the proxy war. It was the Vietnam to the Cold war of cultural values. And, it largely backfired as I predicted.

I’m not sure if people realize that this press on Chick Fil A, has made them an instant “house hold name”, gave them great publicity, especially to the Christians who had no clue of their beliefs, and will now expand their customer base! Happy to realize this…

I believe God is proud that Dan Cathy didn’t retract or bend with the world’s ideas and will have a great reward for him and all others who dont bow to anything less than the Lord’s Word/Name/Will, in heaven :-)

    Hi Scott,
I am so pleased to see that there is a large remnant of believers who will stand up for the commandments of Jesus in the USA. Compromise seems to be the way of life for some many Christians that they do not even know their bible scriptures in order to quote them. It is by the word of our Testimony and the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that we overcome. I have to keep reminding myself that it is not flesh and blood that we are fighting but principalities and powers in the heavenlies. This is where intercession will bring down/remove spiritual blindness of people so they will see clearly and can make a decision to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
Great article and love your Blog.
