Pentecost

Today was a great day at Faith Assembly of God in Orlando, FL.  Our pastor, Carl Stephens, spoke on the the baptism of the Holy Spirit since today is Pentecost Sunday.  The response, in the 9:30am service, was amazing.  Many were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues.

I had the privilege of praying with Carlos at the altar this morning.  Jesus, gloriously, baptized my brother with the Holy Spirit.  It was a wonderful thing to behold.  Praise the Lord for what He did today!  And to God be all of the glory!

The Prophet Joel spoke about this last days’ outpouring when he wrote, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days” (Joel 2:28-29).

Hundreds of years later, this prophecy came to pass.  Luke writes, ”When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.  Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.  They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.  All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them” (Acts 2:1-4).

Praise the Lord that He is still filling people with His Spirit today!  If you are a believer, and have not been filled, ask the Lord to fill you.  You will never be the same!

  2. The fire is still falling. Praise the Lord!

  3. CONGRATS that your brother was filled with the Holy Spirit now he has power to do all that he has wanted to do in JESUS but just could not get it right. And you are correct when a person is filled with the Spirit of the Living GOD that person will never ever be the same. It’s a fantastic way to live.
